secWatch Virtual Guards Stop Copper Theft at Construction Storage Yard
Watch this video showcasing how our secWatch Virtual Guard and CCTV cameras with virtual tripwire analytics effectively deter and prevent copper theft at a construction storage yard.
For this client the secWatch advanced surveillance system includes multiple CCTV cameras strategically placed around the yard. These cameras are equipped with virtual tripwire analytics, which allows them to detect movement and trigger alerts when someone enters a designated area.
When an intruder enters the storage yard, the CCTV cameras immediately detect movement and send an alert to our Virtual Guards. The guards promptly access the footage and observe the intruder’s suspicious behaviour, and can see he’s carrying cable cutters. They issue an audio challenge through the surveillance system speakers. The intruder is warned, and he flees the scene.
This video demonstrates how secWatch Virtual Guard Services uses remote monitoring and audio challenge capabilities to deter intruders and prevent costly losses. This proactive protection ensures a strong security solution is in place 24/7.
What are Virtual Tripwire Analytics?
These are advanced software algorithms integrated into CCTV systems, designed to detect specific movements within defined virtual boundaries or “tripwires.” Instead of physical barriers, these invisible lines are drawn digitally over video feeds. When an object or person crosses these lines, the system triggers an alert.
How do our Virtual Guards Use Tripwire Analytics?
Our secWatch Virtual Guards, based in our Security Operations Centre in Parramatta, leverage this technology to monitor clients sites in real-time. The moment someone crosses the tripwire, an alert is generated, allowing them to act swiftly. The first step they take is to issue an audio challenge to warn the intruder away. If this doesn’t work the authorities will be called.
Real-Time Deterrence with Audio Challenges
secWatch MCU’s are equipped with onboard audio capabilities, enabling our team to issue live audio challenges to potential intruders. If unauthorised personnel are detected on your site, they can be addressed in real-time, significantly increasing the chances of preventing a security breach before it happens.
