Seamless access control and security is important for the success of a self storage facility. Allowing customers to easily get into the facility so they can get to their individual storage unit. The access control system should give the customers a sense of security to know their possessions are in good hands.

secCloud is a managed access control, intruder detection and building automation system that can fully automate your self storage facility. By entering a PIN code at the front gate the customer can gain entry, turn on the lights they need on the path to their unit, disarm the alarm in the unit and gain access to the lift. When the customer exits the facility by entering the PIN number the lights can be turned off and the storage unit alarmed.

You can save money on staff costs by running a fully automated storage facility. Using the secCloud portal you can give a customer access to the unit they have rented which will give them access to the facility instantly. If the customer is in arrears you can login and temporarily stop the access with the click of a button. When the account is up to date, access can be re-issued easily.

Your Self Storage Access Control security system is made by combining the following:

Access control keypads: Vandal and weather resistant metal keypads are used that can withstand the harsh weather conditions.
Access controller: Integrates with the gate motor to open the gate when a valid access control PIN code is entered in the keypad. Magnetic gate locks can be used to ensure the gate is secure.
Intercoms: When a customer is having issues entering the facility they can use the intercom to communicate with the onsite office when there is someone on site, or off site at another location.
Individual unit door alarms: Each unit can be individually alarmed using a reed switch. The alarm can be disarmed when the customer enters their PIN number at the front gate and rearmed when they exit.
Lift control: The button for the floor the customers unit is on can become operational when the customer enters a valid PIN number at the front gate or in the lift car.
Lighting control: Save money on electricity by integrating the lights with secCloud. When the customer enters their PIN number at the front gate the lights on their path of travel to the storage unit can become illuminated.
Online customer portal: secCloud is a cloud based access control system that can be operated from anywhere. Using the online customer portal you can add new customers, open gates, disarm the alarm and control the lights.
Smart phone App: If you're on the road and don't have access to the secCloud customer portal you can use the App to open gates, turn on lights and disarm the alarm.
Security Cameras: Industrial grade high definition CCTV cameras are installed to monitor activity on site and give customers a sense of security that they are entering a secure facility. The cameras can be viewed onsite or streamed to another location.
24 hour security monitoring: From our security operations centre we can monitor the alarms generated on site, view the security cameras, make onsite live audio announcements and open the gate for authorised and verified people. The intercom can be answered in the security operations centre out of hours to give you that extra support.
7 day a week support: From our 24 hour security operations centre we give you support 7 days a week. This includes remote technical support on system hardware and software.

Introducing the first cloud to cloud access control software integration with the leader in self storage software, Storman Cloud. secCloud and Storman Cloud have worked together to build a seamless integration to give you a true Self Storage Automation.

You enter the customer details in Storman Cloud including the agreement, units, PIN number and schedule. The details required are sent to secCloud in real time and the customer can gain access. No more double handling of information. You will not need to use secCloud once the integration is live as you can do the following in Storman and it will transfer and update secCloud.

Create a new agreement and customer
Move the customer into 2 units
Update Pin numbers
Deny access
Re-grant access
Change the schedule
Close the agreement and move out
Create and manage staff PINs or access control cards
