A manufacturer recently chose secCloud for Access Control.
Manufacturing plants and factories face unique security challenges, including theft, equipment tampering, and unauthorised access. Effective security measures are essential to protect valuable assets and ensure operational continuity. Addressing these challenges requires a tailored approach that combines advanced technology with practical solutions.
Recognising these needs, a leading manufacturer partnered with secVision Networks to upgrade their security infrastructure with the implementation of secCloud for Access Control.
The Challenge:
The manufacturer’s Sydney site required a comprehensive security system upgrade due to several critical issues:
- End-of-Life System – Their existing Concept 4000 alarm and access control system had reached the end of its lifecycle, necessitating replacement.
- Server Instability – The server hosting the Concept software
experienced frequent crashes and slow performance, compromising reliability.
Security Risks – Existing access card readers and cards were outdated and could be easily copied, posing a security risk.
The solution:
The secVision Networks team conducted a thorough assessment and recommended an upgrade to the advanced secCloud managed security system. We designed, supplied, and installed a tailored security solution, including:
- Access control at the main gate, warehouse, and office entry points.
- Enhanced Truck Entry Security: Implementation of a secure card/PIN reader at the truck entry to improve access security.
- Intruder detection: using passive infrared (PIR) motion detectors.
- Alarm System: integration of a robust alarm system to safeguard the premises.
- Upgraded Access Control: Replacement of legacy card readers with modern devices using a secure format to prevent unauthorised duplication and ensure accurate tracking.
- Bi-Lock Master Key System Integration – Integration of the site’s existing Bi-Lock master key system, installed by Independent Locksmiths & Security, as a key override for secCloud. This measure ensures secure access in the event of a power failure or system outage.
The Result:
The manufacturer now benefits from a fully managed, cloud-based security system that offers:
✅ Remote access via any internet-connected web browser or smartphone.
✅ The ability to arm/disarm the system and control doors from anywhere, anytime.
✅ No reliance on on-site servers—eliminating maintenance, software updates, and downtime concerns.
✅ Scalability, allowing the company to integrate additional sites under one unified security platform with centralised remote management.
✅ Enhanced redundancy with a Bi-Lock master key override, ensuring continued access in emergency situations.
The company praised secVision Networks' expertise and execution: "Thank you for the excellent roll out of the new system. You have done a fantastic job with everything going well, appreciate that. Well done to Adam and the team."
